The City Council of Santa Barbara has decided to prohibit short-term vacation rentals of less than one month (30 nights/31 days, counting day of arrival and day of departure). Our property is economically priced and an extraordinary value. Since there is no tax of any kind on rentals of a month or more, you may find it affordable to rent for a month, even if you plan to stay for only a portion of that time. We would be delighted to accommodate you!

** Property Damage:

Property Damage Deposit: refundable 3 weeks after departure, assuming there’s no damage other than normal wear & tear.

 

Refundable pet deposit(s): will be refunded 1 month after departure, to allow for a complete flea cycle; and, after costs of pet damage or flea/pest amelioration have been deducted, if any.

 

Property Damage Fee: non-refundable. You will be sent a link to purchase Property Damage Protection through CSA. $59.00 covers up to $1500 in unintentional damage to the property. There are also other Perks that cover travel cancellation, etc. If you want this option, we will provide you with a link to their site where you can read the policy coverages. They require that the policy is purchased prior to arrival on our property.

 

*Rates & Terms:

Monthly Rates: will be prorated for arrival/departure mid-month; and, for additional partial months.

 

Terms when reserving less than 45 days prior to arrival: If reserving less than 45 days prior to arrival all funds are due and payable in order to make the reservation.

 

Terms when reserving more than 45 days prior to arrival: If reserving 45 days, or more, prior to arrival, the damage deposit is due in order to make the reservation. It will also serve as the security deposit. If you choose to purchase Property Damage Protection, $1000 against rent is due at the time you make the reservation; and serves as the security deposit. The balance is due 30 days prior to arrival.
