This used to be our master bedroom suite. We enjoyed the privacy and intimacy of the space. It was here we retreated every evening to relax and enjoy some quiet time, read, or watch TV before retiring for the night.

Unfortunately, Cliff's knees require us to move to a downstairs bedroom. Now, you can be the beneficiary of this special space for the time you plan to visit Santa Barbara.

The Studio consists of a "great" room with wet bar/kitchenette, a large bathroom, and a large closet. It's approximately 800 square feet of space, with sitting area at one end that is raised 2 steps above the main level. Three sky-lights let in lots of light; and, a large window seat beneath 2 large roof windows offer a view of the surrounding trees and neighborhood. In May/June the jacaranda blooms with beautiful purple flowers, just outside these windows.

The furnishings consist of a queen sized bed, an octagonal oak table and 4 chairs on the main level; a Lazy-Boy loveseat double recliner, coffee table, and a couch, that makes into a double bed, on the raised sitting/TV viewing area. It is equipped with a TV and VCR/DVD player. Digital Cable brings you over 200 channels. And, on the landing just outside the Studio door is a desk area equipped with a printer, where you can set up your laptop. We are equipped with cable wireless internet access.

The bathroom is big enough to use for dressing, with a double vanity, large bi-level walkin shower, toilet and bidet, and 2 openable skylights that let in lots of light and breezes. There is an openable skylight in the closet, which is also very large and suitable as a dressing room; or, could fit a crib, allowing the door to be closed so the baby could sleep without being disturbed by the grownups.

This is a perfect space for a couple; or, family with 1 or 2 children (and an infant). It will sleep 4 comfortably, plus a baby in a crib.
